Let's celebrate a win-win in Colton!!! Our Colton families benefit from zero-cost meals and our schools benefit too.
We are happy to announce that we qualified for the Community Eligibility Program which provides a no-cost breakfast and lunch to ALL Colton students every day! You do not need to do anything but let your students know they can get a school breakfast and/or lunch.
Please take advantage of this program, as the funding received helps improve our food service program and makes additional funds available to our classrooms.
Additional information about CEP meals can be found at https://www.colton.k12.or.us/page/food-service.

The PreK-12 classroom spaces do not have adequate air conditioning in extreme heat. The district is responsible for ensuring safe and productive learning environments for all students and will release school early in the best interest of the safety of students and staff.
Students will be released at 12:50pm elementary, 2:00pm middle, and 2:10 pmhigh schools.
OSAA sporting events will follow OSAA guidelines, which can be found here: https://www.osaa.org/heat-index.

We would appreciate any community members who are willing to come out on Saturday, August 24th, and help us get our grounds ready for the first day of school. We are meeting at Colton Middle School and working from 7am to 11am at all three schools. If you can please bring: a wheelbarrow, shovel, weed eater, edger, limb trimmers, and/or other lawn equipment.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you!
Starting the 2024-25 school year both breakfast and lunch are $0 cost for ALL Colton students. There is no application necessary. This zero cost is because of funding through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program. Exceptions include:
*Free only applies to the first full meal, any second meal will be charged a full cost.
*If a full meal is not taken, the student will be charged a la carte for each item.
*Milk is no cost when part of a full meal, if taken individually there is a charge of $.40 each.
More information about meal costs can be found at https://www.colton.k12.or.us/page/food-service
